"To love and serve our neighbors as ourselves."

In our country's current economic situation, most Americans are just a few paychecks away from needing some type of assistance.

Think about that for a moment. Could one major unexpected expense cause your neighbor, your friend, your colleague, or even your own household financial ruin?

Thankfully, organizations like ours exist to help individuals and families in their greatest time of need.

Through our Emergency Financial Assistance program, Catholic Charities is able to bridge the gap for a struggling household to help them avoid eviction or utility termination. And for those that do end up homeless, The Martha & Mary House provides a safe place to live along with personalized case management to help them get back on their feet.

But we wouldn't exist without generous supporters like you. Nearly 60% of the Emergency Financial Assistance we're able to provide each year is made possible through financial contributions from community members.

You can help us help even more households in your county. Current funding only allows us to help 1 in 3 of the families that ask us for assistance. Imagine the impact we could make if more people joined our mission to serve our brothers and sisters who need us.

Please continue your annual support and encourage your friends, neighbors, and fellow parishioners to do the same. After all, you never know when you or a loved one might be the one in need of support.
